It's All About ME. Current Events: 4/30/2007, Vol. 106 Issue 25, p7-7, 1p
The article offers a debate on whether the children, particularly the teenagers, today are too self-centered. Jean Twenge, a professor at San Diego State University and the author of the book "Generation Me," feels that young people today are vain and self-absorbed and have a sense of entitlement that the previous generations did not. Scott Peterson, a corporate executive director, and Joshua D. Sparrow of Harvard Medical School, however, opine that self-esteem is important for success.
